I love sweaters. Wooly, warm, cozy sweaters. I am heavy in to Ravelry and keep seing all of these beatiful sweater patterns. The knitting blogs are just as full of inspiration. The problem is, I'm scared. I admit it. I have never made a sweater before and the prospect is pretty intimidating.
I think that I am finally ready to lose my sweater knitting virginity . . . I've fallen in love with a project that is pretty popular . . . everyone swears it's easy . . . I think I'm ready for this:
Yes, it's the Gathered Pullover. I am in love.

That is really cute, but I've never made a sweater either. I don't think I'm ready.
I don't think I'm ready either, but I really, really want to be. Maybe I could just buy the yarn . . .
Hi Sarah, I've knit this sweater and it is pretty easy. I'm sure you're ready for it - just go for it!
I've subscribed to your blog so if you hit any problems maybe I'll be able to help?
Good luck (and welcome to blogging)!
Knit a top down cardi for a 1st sweater. They have no seams, knit up quick, use very little yarn, & fit fabulous in the end. What more could a girl ask for???? Check out Cosmic Pluto knits for her free down load. You can't go wrong. What are you waiting for?
This is very pretty. I hadn't seen it before. I had to add it to my faves. Sweaters in general are not as bad as you think. I put them off for 3 years or so before I took the plunge, but they're great fun.
Top-down sweaters are pretty easy to start with, but it sounds like there's minimal construction with this sweater.
Welcome to blogging!
